Jeric Pena

Jeric Peña is an aspiring multimedia journalist from Manila, Philippines.

Jeric has been blogging since 2003. He also produces audio and video podcasts. He maintains a couple of blogs such as Distance Education in the Philippines, Brink Notes Podcast Network and Just Jeric. He has two Philippine Blog Awards under his belt.

Jeric graduated from the University of the Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in Education in 2013.

Jeric is a self-confessed news junkie. He regularly submits various content to different citizen journalism arms including CNN iReport, ABS-CBN Bayan Mo (Boto Mo) iPatrol Mo, GMA YouScoop and Rappler MOVE.ph.

Jeric has been featured on Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Bulletin, Business World, Newsbreak, Pinoy Parazzi and on other media outlets.

Moreover, his numerous works as a citizen journalist have been featured on CNN, ABS-CBN, GMA and Rappler.

During his free time, Jeric takes online journalism classes at Poynter’s News University.
