Thousands line up for Robredo’s wake

(JPR) — People from all walks of life line up at the Kalayaan Hall in Malacañan Palace to take partake in the wake for Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo.

Many endured the long queue for the public viewing just to pay homage to the Cabinet member, whom many consider as a true public servant.

The public viewing ended at 5 p.m Saturday.

UP remembers Robredo

Robredo’s remains will lie in state at the Kalayaan Hall until Sunday morning. His remains will then be flown back to Naga City for Tuesday’s state funeral.

Friends, colleagues hold prayer vigil for Robredo, pilots

Robredo and three others perished on Saturday, Aug. 18, after the plane carrying them crashed in the waters off Masbate City. Robredo’s police bodyguard, Chief Insp. June Paolo Abrazado, was the lone survivor in the crash.
