Pope Francis’ social media manager flew to Manila to inspire Filipino Catholics to use social media for evangelization.

Msgr. Paul Tighe, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, was the keynote speaker during the Catholic Social Media Summit held on November 23 in Manila.

In his address, Tighe called on the youth to give the Internet a soul.

Tighe was the person behind the pope’s Twitter account, @Pontifex.

Msgr. Tighe says Jesus’ teachings are fit for social media. Each of the Ten Commandments are <140 characters.

… could have been the other way around.

    Always remember:
God does not fit any system because He transcends all systems.

… or the word "fit" should have been "followed, obeyed, or applied …" instead.

    In such case:
With Jesus, God’s truth entered human experience in an unsurpassable and definitive manner, i.e. social media.

I’ve been monitoring this, can’t wait to congratulate you! Just like JPR, it’s one of your creations (but – a thing that took you so many years to do).
I wish you can find a different “happiness” in it. Congratulations! I’m proud of you.
